If you see the “Invalid plugin” error while uploading a plugin in WordPress, it’s most likely because you’re trying to upload the entire download package instead of the actual plugin file.
Unzip the file you downloaded
Right-click the .zip file and choose Extract or Unzip.
Find the actual plugin zip inside
After extracting, open the folder and look for a file named something like plugin-name.zip.
Upload only the plugin zip
Go to your WordPress dashboard → Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
Select the plugin-name.zip file (not the full package) and click Install Now.
