Two easy ways to get the latest version
Pick your situation below and follow the steps. It only takes a few minutes.
Set it up once and your sites stay up to date on their own.
Go to the Chimp Updater page and click the download button.
In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP and click Activate.
Open Chimp Updater, paste the token from your GPL Chimp account and approve your website.

The product page shows the latest version and the date it was added. Tip: turn on Notify me about updates to get an email when it changes.
Go to My Account → Downloads and download the newest version.
Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin (or Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme), choose the ZIP, then click Replace current with uploaded. Your settings stay.
Open your website and make sure everything works as expected.

No. When you upload a new version and choose Replace current with uploaded, WordPress keeps your settings and content.
Not through the developer’s own updater, because it needs their license. Use Chimp Updater for automatic updates, or upload the new version manually.
